The Puerta de Santiago is integrated into the walls surrounding the historic center of Trujillo and has two twin towers crowned by battlements and a central linteled arch decorated with heraldic motifs.

The route through Trujillo will continue heading towards the Plaza de los Descalzos and “La Alberca”We will visit a cistern that dates back to the 10th century. From there we will go to the Vera Cruz Squareand from there back to the Plaza de los Descalzos to exit through the door of San Andrés. We will go down to the Palace of Juan Orellana Pizarro and return through the Cañón de la Cárcel to finish in the Plaza Mayor.
