We will meet at 09:30 a.m. next to the
La Merced Archaeological Museum
to start exploring Cali. Welcome to the Colombian capital of salsa!
We will stroll through its historic center while we listen to the history and origins of this beautiful city, and we will stop at emblematic places such as the
Plazoleta Jairo Varela
one of the most important corners for Cali’s music.
As we walk, we will observe the different posters that decorate the streets of Cali and that reflect the passion of this city for salsa. We will also see the Ermita Church, one of the symbols of Cali. Did you know that it was demolished by the earthquake of 1925? We will also see the
Cayzedo Square
considered the lung of the city, and the Plazoleta de San Francisco .
Our last stop will be the
Cat Park
and its famous outdoor sculptures representing these felines. Finally, the free tour will conclude at 1:00 p.m. at the starting point.
