Itinerary
We will meet at the indicated time next to the Spanish Flag in Cartagena and there we will start the free tour. We will visit the most emblematic places of this city on the coast of Murcia. History, culture and Mediterranean breeze!
We will begin by exploring the port itself, the hallmark of the three-thousand-year-old city and the reason for its past and present wealth. We’ll tell you why! We will continue walking along the sea until we arrive at the area of the Naval Museumwhere the prototype of Isaac Peral’s submarine is located. From there we will continue our visit to the Heroes of Cavite Squarewith its imposing obelisk that pays homage to the fallen.
The next stop will be at
the Town Hall Square
with its masterful City Hall Palace, one of the jewels of modernism in the city. From here begins the busy Main Street, the main commercial artery of Cartagena.
We will walk in the direction of the main monument of the city of Murcia:
the Roman Theater
. After this obligatory stop, we will continue walking towards the heart of the city, discovering some of the most popular places of this city, such as the San Francisco Squarea key place for gastronomy and leisure in Cartagena.
From Piazza San Francesco we will access the neighborhood of the Roman Forumwhere we will have the opportunity to climb up to the Hill of the Molinete to enjoy both its views and the Archaeological Park that is located there.
