Itinerary

Here we will look at the church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, which dates back to 1513. Under the ringing of the bells, we will pass by El Granero, a building built 250 years ago where farmers used to store their crops.

We will continue the tour in the Chorro Street and we will tell you several stories associated with the culture and evolution of this beautiful enclave of the island. We will continue strolling through its coquettish streets until we enter into the Barranco de Triana, where we will find the old washing places that were also used as watering places for the cattle.

We will continue walking to the exact spot where Buenavista del Norte was founded, former property of Juan Méndez “El Viejo” (The Old Man), founder of the town. There we will talk about the relationship of the locality with the world of the dead and the aborigines.

We will continue this tour visiting the Cruz de Toledo, why is this place so significant for the town? The road will take us to the San Sebastian square and here we will come across the old Convent of San Francisco, which had the function of Municipal Cemetery until 1946.
